Density Analytics announces the Savannah River Remediation Authority as a new application user of the SGU-100 Electronic Hydrometer, Density Meter, Monitor , Controller.
The Savannah River Remediation Authority ( www.srremediation.com ) is a Department of Energy installation that is contracted to deal with the safe disposal of hazardous radioactive liquid waste from nuclear power plants. The facility monitors the treatment of large holding tanks that contain hazardous radioactive liquids. The liquid density is monitored to detect and control the rate of settling of the radioactive particulate in the liquid. Because of the very hazardous radioactive material used here, safety precautions insist on the use of density sensors that are remotely located at a safe distance from the monitoring sites. Obviously, hand held glass bulb hydrometers or hand held density meters are not practical for this application. The Density Analytics SGU-100 Density Meter, Monitor, Controller is an ideal instrumentation for the remote (up to 100 feet) measuring, monitoring , and controlling of the hazardous radioactive liquids in this application.
